I know i have a decent amount of followers on here so i’d like to advertise, if that’s ok.
I’m really struggling right now in holding down a job. My chronic pain is taking a toll on my life.
I’d like to open Minecraft commissions!
If anyone wants me to create them a mod, skin, or resource pack, i’d be happy to! Just contact me, tell me your idea and i’ll give you a quote.
The price will vary based on how complex you’d like, but i’ll provide a brief estimate here:
Skins : $5 USD (~$8 AUD)
Resources : $3 USD (~$5 AUD) per texture
Models : $10 USD (~$15 AUD) for model and texture
Animated Model : $20 USD (~$31 AUD) for model, texture and animation
MCreator Mod : Based on prices above, plus $5 USD (~$8 AUD) per mod element

little snapshots of a mod i have been working on for a few days, cenozoicraft, understandably based around adding cenozoic animals to the minecraft world along with neolithic tools. its heavily based around hunting and utilizing animal parts. most of what is here is tamable and rideable with fun little taming mechanics, so dont expect to be able to waltz up to a smilodon. more to come soon
#there are a few effects i havent shown here besides from the ''hunters vision'' in the first one. still a prototype but the general idea#anyways i am pretty proud of what i have accomplished so far. everything here has and will have unique mechanics and ai. i am excited#on the bucketlist: mammoths! finishing up the mammoth steppe and arctic biomes. enchantments that assist in hunting#predator ai needs some work. neanderthals are on the list as well. several sets of armor and curios are planned#and of course many#many animals#and many decorative blocks#minecraft#blockbench#mcreator#modded minecraft#cenozoic#paleo#paleoart#paleontology#neolithic#cenozoicraft#rorys art

Filed under 'Mods I absolutely can't fathom don't already exist' (At least not in the capacity I wanted)
Basically made this because the Wings mod STILL doesn't have a 1.18.2 port, and I don't use Fabric so I can't use the Icarus mod either
I will say off the bat tho these wings' flight are Elytra-flight BUT at least you can have Pretty Decorative Elytra while you soar through the skies! \o/ Download on Modrinth above!

Minecraft mod I’d really wanna make is a Farmer’s Delight addon that adds recipes for like, using skulk and stuff. The really weird fantasy items that wouldnt be covered by nether and end. I had a bit of a thing going but using farmer’s delight’s systems allow for a lot more things I think
#also im lazy kinda and wanna just use mcreator#i cant code for anything anyway#minecraft#minecraft modding#minecraft mods

When "glow ink sacs" were added to Minecraft, I assumed that we would be getting glow versions of all the things that were dyeable.
Instead, we got glow item frames and glow signs - don't get me wrong, these are great, but I wanted more! Glowing concrete! Glowing terracotta! Glow...sheep?
My next incorrect assumption was that I was in the majority when I immediately though "glow ink sacs" translated to "glow dye." I thought that as soon as mods started coming out for 1.17 (or whatever version it was), I would get the glowing dye mod of my dreams.
Nothing.
Incorrect assumption number 3 was that there was something I didn't understand about the code of minecraft. Maybe it was unfeasibly difficult to change the amount of light a block emitted? I can understand the game devs not wanting to artificially double the number of dye-able blocks in the game (there are over 100 if my calculations are correct), but that's not the sort of thing modders should care about. It must be difficult, for some reason.
Today is Day 2 of learning to make minecraft mods. Day 1 was data mining, finding the textures and stuff in the files. Day 2 was downloading and messing around with MCreator, which has a lot of fun tools and interfaces that make it super easy to add new blocks to minecraft.
And guess what? One of the customizable options for your new blocks is "luminosity" or "how much light the block emits"
Slap a vanilla texture onto a normal block type and crank up the luminosity setting and you get a glowing version of that block. Which is exactly what I want!
I have already made "Glow Black Concrete"
You'll never guess what my plans for tomorrow are
#hint: I will become a mod developer#the real reason I got into modding was I was lamenting to my friend about the lack of wallpapers in minecraft#she suggested that glow lichen was kind of like a wallpaper so if I messed around with its textures I could use that#now MCreator is really intuitive when it comes to making new full blocks#but glow lichen is apparently trickier#I have not given up on wallpapering#but for now glowing blocks is a lot easier

When making a Mod, you sometimes get the funny feeling to goof around with some things sometimes while testing... which might or might not delay something. But at the least, you get to see how things look.

a brief demonstration of a mod i have been working on. rory's gargoyles; most gargoyles will serve both a decorative purpose and a utility purpose as shown
#modded minecraft#minecraft#mcreator#gargoyles#rory's art#rory's gargoyles#more to come probably but for the short term list i plan on making more gargoyles centered around defense and applying potion effects#thinking about little pocket gargoyles that can be made with shards of life..... little guys with little potion effects but still useful#placeable of course#wall-hanging gargoyles#corner gargoyles#mountable gargoyles that fly#solely decorative gargoyles#all long term goals but certainly feasible#blockbench

finding out you can use .nbt schematic files made from the create mod, for the structure schematics .nbt files in mcreator is so incredible.
i know there's very little reason it wouldn't work in practice, since they are the same file type, but sometimes programs just don't wanna cooperate with other programs, in my experience.
